Participants' IGF-1 levels -- a direct marker of growth hormone activity -- rose from age-depleted levels to ranges typical of healthy 25-35 year olds within two weeks of starting sermorelin.
Natural pulsatile GH secretion pattern preserved
Unlike exogenous HGH, sermorelin maintained the body's natural pattern of GH release in pulses, particularly during deep sleep. This is significant because pulsatile release is safer than continuous elevation.
Sleep-associated GH peaks amplified
Growth hormone secretion during slow-wave sleep increased significantly. This matters because sleep-associated GH is the primary driver of tissue repair and recovery.
Well-tolerated across the age range
